About the role

We looking for a strategic and energised recruiter to join us in house to grow the team, with a particular focus on Product and Engineering. 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be creative, innovative, and. autonomous in sourcing, attracting and hiring talent both from all channels. Working with the Head of People Operations, you will manage the full recruitment cycle, and act as a strategic business partner and trusted advisor to hiring managers and interviewers. 

You will be a zealous advocate and champion of Drop, amplifying our talent brand and developing our reputation as an employer of choice. This role will be for a 9-12 month contract, and ideally based in Dublin. (We are embracing hybrid working, so you can work from home for up to 3 days per week). 

About You
You will be an experienced recruiter, with a deep understanding of what makes a candidate interested and keeps them excited. You will be results orientated, with a growth mindset and an ability to both teach (sharing best practice and advising hiring managers and interviewers) and learn (using your natural curiosity to learn more about the roles you recruit for, and cultivating a thorough understanding of our stack and products). 
You are motivated not only by filling the roles, but by providing a best in class experience for everyone who comes in contact with Drop. You can communicate between technical requirements and business requirements, and turn it all into excellent recruitment marketing. 
Most importantly, you are a great storyteller and an excellent communicator, engaging and relating to a diverse and interesting pool of people. 

Responsibilities

    • Manage the full cycle hiring process, from sourcing, to interview, to negotiation, right through to offer acceptance and contract signing 
    • Develop, own and execute effective recruitment programmes and strategies to fulfil the hiring plans (over at least the next 18 months) 
    • Build solid and trusting relationships with internal technical leaders and teams,  and serve as a partner before, during, and after the recruiting process
    • Develop and nurture deep relationships with external stakeholders in the engineering, start up, and recruitment ecosystems to develop strong talent pipelines.
    • Organise in office recruitment events and meet ups to show all the great work we do here at Drop, and attend external events to spread the word 
    • Work with marketing and People Ops to develop the strongest messaging in our external facing content (including job descriptions and social media posts) to enhance our attractiveness to talent 
    • Bring creative and thoughtful approaches and solutions to challenging and niche roles
    • Ensure that every candidate has an excellent experience with Drop, regardless of outcome
    • Work with People Ops to build a graduate recruitment programme 

Your Skills

    • Strong commercial understanding, negotiating and closing skills, - you can navigate complex offers effectively 
    • Curiosity to develop technical understanding, and keep up to date with our product developments  - you are a well rounded, smart individual 
    • Superb communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate Drop’s employee value proposition and story to candidates - you are a storyteller 
    • Influencing and negotiation skills, building strong rapport and relationships easily  - you can talk to anyone 
    • Ability to talk tech and business, and translate one to the other - you can communicate with engineers and leadership 

Your Qualifications

    • 5+ years full-lifecycle recruiting for technical roles, preferably for tech companies
    • Proven track record sourcing and hiring passive candidates
    • Experience partnering and influencing senior hiring managers and executives throughout the recruiting cycle
    • Strong understanding of direct sourcing and effective interviewing techniques
    • Heavily networked in the tech/start up space in Dublin 
    • Experience as an in-house recruiter at a high-growth company preferred
