Drop is the leading smart kitchen platform specializing in recipe and kitchen appliance technology to connect the whole cooking journey for home cooks. Over 100 different appliance models from brands like Bosch, Electrolux, GE Appliances, Instant Brands, Panasonic, Kenwood, LG Electronics and Thermomix can now be controlled from the Drop KitchenOS platform, with the Drop Recipes app at the center of it all. A love for great food is at our core. About the Role

Over the past eight years, we’ve built an incredible foundation for growth through the delightful product experiences we’ve developed, the robust platform infrastructure we’ve invested in, and our strong partnerships with leading brands.
Following our successful Series A fundraising round in 2020, we are focused on growing our platform through both B2C engagement (building a passionate community of home cooks who love our product) and B2B expansion (adding more appliances and recipe partners). 
We know that high growth comes from a deep understanding of product market fit, and so we are looking for an experienced marketing leader to join our leadership team to drive future expansion by positioning Drop for success to both our B2C and B2B audiences. 


The CMO will own the entire marketing strategy — spanning brand, growth, demand generation, and community and lead a motivated team to build a first rate brand that our customers love and our partners are proud to work with. 
You will be an originator and facilitator of world-class marketing strategies that meaningfully grow our platform, providing vision and cultivating the environment of innovation and accountability we thrive in.  You have built high-performing and cohesive teams, and know how to mentor and coach marketing and growth professionals including managers  to fulfill their potential.
This is a senior leadership position that reports directly to the CEO. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working on a strategic, executive level one minute and on a hands-on project level the next. Your Responsibilities

  • Provide thought leadership, strategic insight, and clear communication to your team and the organization on the company’s brand and growth strategy.
  • Create, develop and execute high-impact, multi-channel B2C marketing programs to grow our existing user base.
  • Develop and drive Drop’s brand proposition and awareness using creative ideas and image-building through all channels, including website and marketing collateral.
  • Build a global community of passionate home cooks, building engagement and relevance with our audience through customization, influencer marketing, and innovative campaigns. 
  • Collaborate with Sales on B2B initiatives to exceed company lead, pipeline and revenue goals for both new partner acquisition and existing partner expansion. 
  • Build and mentor a brilliant team and foster a healthy and collaborative culture that embodies Drop’s values. 
  • Manage Drop’s PR and external activity, including press, interviews, awards, and attendance at conferences, exhibitions and trade shows. 
  • Guide the prioritization of marketing and monetization initiatives, ensuring effective support of and collaboration with internal teams such as Sales, Product, and Finance. 


Your Experience

  • 15+ years of marketing experience with a record of an ever-increasing scope of responsibilities.
  • 5+ years in a VP, SVP or CMO position.
  • Proven track record of developing consumer marketing strategies that drove meaningful business and user growth.
  • Experience leading and mentoring cross-functional, dynamic teams, including managers.
  • Successful experience building communities and brand engagement 
  • B2B enterprise experience is a nice to have.
